The COVID-19 virus is causing much human suffering and economic hardship on a global scale and the situation seems to continuously be evolving. Institutional travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 epidemic were implemented right before the Symposium. As a consequence, we would have not been able to deliver the quality program and congress expected by our attendees.

As a result of these factors, and our responsibility to protect the health of our speakers, attendees and staff members, it has been agreed that changing the Symposium format was the only responsible course of action. That is why after careful consideration the Steering Committee along with the Scientific Committee decided to revise the format of the 1st International Symposium on Human Health & the Ocean in a Changing World, that will now take place from Wednesday the 2nd to Thursday the 3rd. with scientific sessions running during the afternoon and participants on site, but also online, through our website (live from the meeting room).

For those who can physically be present, the event will still take place at the One Monte-Carlo in the respect of sanitary measures.

We invite you to take a look at the new scientific program.

The lockdown should end on December 1st in France, the day before the beginning of the Symposium. There is no lockdown in Monaco at the current time.

As a result, the Symposium should be able to take place without any problems, but we remain dependent on the sanitary measures announced by the French and Monegasque governments. Should new restrictions disrupt the holding of the Symposium, we will send you an official communication.

It is important to us that participants are welcomed in a safe environment and comply with the social distancing measures established by the Authorities. All participants will receive a guideline of the new health measures implemented by the Congress Center and the Organizers.

On site participation is limited to a maximum of 100 participants, first come first served, so don’t forget to register :

For all participants coming from a country outside of France or Monaco, we kindly invite you to get in touch with the nearest French Embassy of your country, in order to find out about the measures in force.

It is very likely that you will need to do a PCR test and get the results 72 hours before your arrival in Monaco, as some hotels in the Principality will ask you to do so, in order to accept you at the check-in.

Following this unprecedented and exclusive situation, we are happy to announce that all fees will be waived to all participants both on site and online.

Please note that the number of places on site is limited to 100 people. It is therefore important that you register in advance.

The Organizing Secretariat will get in touch with all participants who have already paid their registration fee to refund them in the next few weeks. For any additional question, feel free to contact us as

Should you need to change your check-in or check-out dates, please send an email to the Organizing Secretariat at and you will be contacted within the best time. For any new booking, please contact us directly so that we can make you benefit from our preferential rates, according to availability.
